About the role

We're seeking a dynamic HR Manager to drive our North American HR strategy, with a focus on our Victoria, BC office. This is your chance to build meaningful initiatives and directly impact our company's success.

This newly established role will report to the Senior Director of Global HR and will take the lead to:

  • Own and drive the development and execution of strategic HR initiatives within the North American region like talent management, compensation & benefits, workplace culture, and diversity & inclusion.
  • Handle escalated HR issues for the Victoria office, providing guidance and making local HR decisions.
  • Mentor & Partner closely with our dedicated HR Generalist, providing support and guidance while leading local HR decisions,
  • Collaborate on recruiting to find talent that fits our Victoria team dynamic.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Global HR for alignment and support where necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on employment law and drive policy updates.

About You

To be successful in your application for this engaging position, you should have:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally with exposure to a variety of HR disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian (BC focused) employment laws and regulations (immigration law would be a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement strategic HR programs.
  • Experience working with and influencing senior leadership teams.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and SuccessFactors implementation highly desired.

This role will require high level communication skills and the attributes to cultivate and expand stakeholder relationships and drive favourable business results, while working independently and having flexibility within you normal working hours. A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, although not mandatory, would be highly beneficial.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
