GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
You are on top of the latest trends in internet, and social media marketing, with a demonstrated track record of success in building brands and leveraging various communication channels to drive sales growth. The successful candidate is a strategic planner with strong video editing skills, capable of delivering results. You will be responsible for creating and delivering creative content for all our marketing and advertising needs. This includes developing innovative online marketing and social media campaigns.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Video
- Shoot video footage from the shopfloor, yard and sawmill that can be leveraged for content.
- Edit video footage to be used for short and long form content.
- Flexible to shoot interesting moments in the production process as it hits the shop floor.
Social Media
- Grow our online audience, user engagement, and loyalty across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Tik Tok and more).
- Stay updated on emerging social technologies and features, utilizing them to engage and grow our audience for both B2B and B2C audiences.
Content
- Create blog and newsletter content to enhance web traffic via SEO.
- Develop and design monthly magazine advertisements, social and digital ads.
- Continuously improve brand alignment, messaging, and creative output.
- Write, proofread, and edit copy for various content types, including newsletters, emails, blog posts, lead nurturing programs, eBooks, and press releases, to support marketing and sales goals for B2B and B2C audiences.
- Monitor blog content and recommend changes to ensure high performance.
- Schedule, write, and proofread segmented, customized e-blasts, distributing them in a timely manner to support the overarching marketing strategy.
- Basic Web Editing to create new project pages & keep careers page up to date.
Data Gathering/ Reporting
- Create, report, and analyse social media content, blogs, and newsletters.
- Work with Google Ads reporting to tell a story with the dashboard data
- Report on SEO keyword rankings and website visitor traffic.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent post-secondary training and experience.
- Strong video shooting and editing abilities to create brand-aligned messaging and videos.
- Desirable skills: Graphic design and video editing.
- Experience in content marketing, SEO, email marketing, and social media.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite for ad creation.
- Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices.
- Proven ability to write compelling copy that captivates and intrigues your audience.
- High energy, persistent mindset, enthusiasm, and extremely goal-oriented.
- Professional business manner, with the ability to identify, connect, and build relationships.
- Excellent communication skills; well-spoken and personable.
- Strong organizational and Time-management skills; ability to prioritize work independently with minimal supervision.
