Marketing Coordinator (Canada)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate will take ownership of planning and executing marketing strategies, working closely with teams overseas, and ensuring compliance with Canadian food packaging regulations. The role requires an individual who is highly organized, has a keen eye for compliance in the food industry, and thrives in a fast-paced, office-based work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Strategy Execution:
Collaborate with the international marketing team to execute and adapt global marketing strategies to the Canadian market. Ensure all activities are aligned with the company's objectives and Canadian customer needs.
Food Packaging Compliance:
Ensure all food packaging and labeling are fully compliant with Canadian food regulations, including CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency), Health Canada, and other relevant industry standards. Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure that all packaging meets required standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with teams across different departments such as sales, product development, and supply chain, as well as international teams, to ensure timely execution of marketing plans.
Market Analysis:
Research and analyze Canadian market trends, consumer behavior, and competitors to inform marketing campaigns and product positioning. Provide insights and recommendations based on market research.
Campaign Management:
Lead and manage the execution of various marketing campaigns including digital, print, events, and in-store promotions. Monitor and optimize campaigns to maximize performance and return on investment.
Content Development:
Create and review marketing materials, such as product descriptions, brochures, advertisements, and social media content, ensuring all content adheres to both brand standards and Canadian food regulations.
Vendor and Partner Liaison:
Coordinate with external partners, including agencies, packaging suppliers, and event organizers, to execute marketing initiatives efficiently.
Reporting and Compliance Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of marketing activities and campaigns. Ensure all activities comply with legal requirements and regulatory documentation for internal and external audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in a marketing coordinator role, preferably in the food industry, with a focus on food packaging compliance in Canada.
SKILLS:
Strong understanding of Canadian food labeling and packaging regulations (CFIA, Health Canada, etc.)
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience in digital marketing tools and strategies
Attention to detail and ability to adapt global strategies to local markets
Fluent in English (knowledge of French, Hindi & Punjabi is an asset)
Work Environment:
Full-time, office-based position located in Mississauga, ON. The role requires the individual to work from the office and be available during regular office hours.
