Job Summary
Reporting directly to the President, the Marketing & Community Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in driving Cowbell Brewing Co.'s marketing initiatives to achieve volume growth and brand loyalty across Ontario. This role oversees a full-time Brand Designer and a part-time Graphic Designer (to be hired) and is responsible for creating and executing an annual marketing plan that supports all aspects of Cowbell Brewing Co., including beverages, the restaurant, the General Store, and special events.
The role requires a dynamic and community-focused individual who thrives in networking, public speaking, and collaboration, while maintaining a deep enthusiasm for beverage alcohol and hospitality.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy
- Act as a leading ambassador of Cowbell Brewing Co.'s values, vision, and business strategy.
- Develop and execute an annual marketing plan aimed at achieving strategic business goals.
- Work with the President to drive brand strategy development and oversee its consistent application across all platforms and initiatives.
- Supervise and provide direction to the Brand Designer and Graphic Designer, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Work with internal department heads to ensure consistent cross-department messaging (internal and external)
Marketing Operations
- Oversee all marketing activities for Cowbell Brewing Co.'s beverages, restaurant, General Store, and special events.
- Manage Cowbell's social media platforms, ensuring consistent engagement and growth.
- Oversee website content and updates, ensuring functionality and alignment with brand objectives.
- Work with the Brewery Manager to ensure new beverage launches are prepared in advance and coordinated in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development of annual product pitches to key retail partners and licensee marketing.
- Develop and manage public relations efforts to build and maintain a positive brand image. This includes media release development and hosting events/experiences with local and regional media.
- Support Graphic Design team with creative content development, including photo and video shoots, via contribution to editing, shot lists and leadership of final approval mechanisms
Event Strategy
- Create and execute off-site event strategies in the Home Patch and across Ontario, enhancing brand presence and driving engagement.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
- Work closely with the Director, Food & Beverage and Event Manager on off-site event planning and execution and the development of community events at the Farm.
Community Engagement
- Serve as a key representative of Cowbell Brewing Co. in local and broader communities, fostering relationships and partnerships.
- Network effectively to create opportunities for collaboration and brand promotion.
- Actively engage with the local community to promote Cowbell Brewing Co. as a valued member of the region.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 experience in events and/or marketing, preferably within the beverage alcohol or hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing creative teams.
- Experience in social media management, website oversight, and public relations.
- Excellent networking, community engagement, and public speaking skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Passion for beverage alcohol, hospitality, and fostering community connections.
- A collaborative team player with a results-driven mindset.
