Position: Sales Representative

Location: Toronto-based (with national reach)

Our client, a fast-growing Canadian company in the sustainable building solutions sector, is looking for a driven Sales Representative to expand their presence across Canada. This role focuses on early-stage engagement with developers, architects, and contractors to position the company's product offerings as a preferred solution in energy-efficient construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and target decision-makers across sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and commercial real estate

Build relationships and generate new business opportunities aligned with long-term growth goals

Work closely with design teams in early stages of construction planning to guide product selection

Ensure inclusion in project specifications and maintain involvement through to installation

Provide customers with product knowledge and consultation during design and build phases

Deliver presentations, training sessions, and written materials highlighting environmental and operational value

Stay informed about trends in energy-conscious construction and competitive activity

Prepare customized sales collateral and coordinate with internal teams to deliver proposals and timelines

Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline status in CRM

Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen market visibility and cultivate leads

Qualifications

8-10+ years in sales or business development, ideally in a product-driven B2B environment

Experience with long sales cycles and technical solutions preferred

Familiarity with construction, energy, or architectural products is an asset

Strong consultative sales approach with a focus on long-term client relationships

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Comfortable working with technical product details

Proficient in CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot

Self-motivated and results-driven

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or related field

Additional credentials in sustainability or construction are a bonus
