PRIMED is seeking a Production Designer to join our Marketing / Communications team in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a 12-month contract role, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role. This role is responsible for the high-volume production and adaptation of marketing and sales materials and maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Communications, Brand, Marketing Operations and Sales teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation to serve our customers. The Production Designer will ensure all materials produced uphold PRIMED’s brand standards, support speed to market, and contribute to customer confidence and loyalty.

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

  • Accountable for producing templated sales, marketing, and internal collateral while adhering to established brand guidelines.
  • Responsible for revising and updating existing materials to meet campaign, product, or regional requirements.
  • Oversee asset preparation for print, digital, and web distribution, ensuring technical quality and file accuracy.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment of all internally produced materials with the company’s brand standards
  • Timely delivery of materials to meet campaign and event deadlines
  • Upholding a standardized intake process to clarify and document incoming requests, ensuring clear understanding and alignment before execution.
  • Create conversion posters to support transitions from competitor products to PRIMED solutions, ensuring clear messaging and alignment with brand standards.
  • Develop trial posters and evaluation forms, ensuring consistent branding, correct logo usage, and effective facilitation of customer feedback.
  • Manage and uphold brand integrity across three distinct entities, ensuring all materials reflect their respective visual identities, tone, and positioning.
  • Produce a range of templated branded materials- including brochures, catalogues, booklets, and handbills.
  • Ensure brand consistency across marketing collateral, RFP bid submissions, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Accountable for adhering to the following file structures and naming system.
  • Support internal initiatives by developing onboarding materials for new hires and creating recruitment marketing assets that reflect the employer brand across all entities.
  • Other duties as required.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A degree or diploma in Graphic Design or Visual Communications is a requirement.
  • Professional designation (e.g., RGD) is considered an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of designing using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in production design, graphic adaptation, brand standards, and preparing files for both print and digital execution.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency in a Windows-based environment, using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to handle high-volume requests with tight turnaround and deadlines.
  • Ability to organize and report of updates.
  • Detail-oriented, possessing strong technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and the ability to work self-managed or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Success in this role relies on the ability to stay organized amidst shifting demands.
  • Effective and proactive communication is essential, with a focus on providing solutions and frequent updates.
  • Organized problem solver capable of thinking quickly on their feet and excelling in a performance-driven, results-oriented work environment.

  • This position is based in the Edmonton office with four days in the office and one remote day offered. This requires occasional travel domestically to support commercial activities.
  • Typical office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, due to the nature of the business, work outside of typical hours including evenings and weekends may be required and discussed in advance.
