Ce volume imposant am\u00e8ne des opportunit\u00e9s pour les organisations mais \u00e9galement de nombreux d\u00e9fis. L\u2019expression Big Data, qui r\u00e9f\u00e8re \u00e0 une quantit\u00e9 imposante de donn\u00e9es impossibles \u00e0 traiter avec des outils conventionnels, devient de plus en plus populaire.<\/span><\/span> <\/b><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Ces donn\u00e9es peuvent \u00eatre de nature op\u00e9rationnelle, financi\u00e8re ou marketing. McDonald\u2019s, par exemple, emmagasine une foule de donn\u00e9es, ce qui lui permet ensuite de tester les impacts d\u2019une variation de menu ou encore d\u2019un changement dans le design d\u2019une de ses franchises.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Selon des <a href=\"http:\/\/papers.ssrn.com\/sol3\/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1819486\" target=\"_blank\">\u00e9tudes<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">, les entreprises qui incluent l\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es dans leurs d\u00e9cisions de gestion sont plus productives et ont de meilleurs retours sur investissement que celles qui ne l\u2019utilisent pas. Pas trop surprenant.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Le d\u00e9fi est plut\u00f4t de savoir comment tirer profit de ces donn\u00e9es sans s\u2019y perdre. Les points \u00e0 consid\u00e9rer sont nombreux : a-t-on les outils d\u2019analyse n\u00e9cessaires, a-t-on la main-d&rsquo;\u0153uvre qualifi\u00e9e pour le faire, sur quelles donn\u00e9es doit-on se concentrer?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Au Qu\u00e9bec, ce n\u2019est pas la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 de la majorit\u00e9 des entreprises d\u2019avoir \u00e0 g\u00e9rer des <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Terabyte\" target=\"_blank\">t\u00e9raoctets<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> de donn\u00e9es chaque jour, comme le font <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2008\/01\/09\/google-processing-20000-terabytes-a-day-and-growing\/\" target=\"_blank\">Google<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> ou Facebook. Toutefois, la majorit\u00e9 ont acc\u00e8s ou peuvent du moins acc\u00e9der \u00e0 un nombre grandissant de donn\u00e9es. Elles doivent choisir si le co\u00fbt de g\u00e9rer ces donn\u00e9es vaut les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices qu\u2019elles peuvent en tirer. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Avant d\u2019investir dans un syst\u00e8me, les experts recommandent de se poser plusieurs questions, entre autres de s\u2019assurer que la direction s\u2019implique dans le projet. Comme c\u2019est le cas pour les m\u00e9dias sociaux, il ne suffit pas d\u2019avoir un connaisseur au sein de l\u2019organisation pour que les choses fonctionnent bien. Si la culture d\u2019entreprise est largement bas\u00e9e sur le principe de \u00ab pourquoi changer ce qui \u00e0 notre avis semble fonctionner depuis longtemps \u00bb, l\u2019investissement risque d\u2019\u00eatre p\u00e9rilleux. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Ce d\u00e9fi de l\u2019adoption au sein de l\u2019entreprise est pour moi tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant.
