Augmente-t-on ou diminue-t-on ses <strong>chances<\/strong> d\u2019\u00eatre embauch\u00e9 pour le poste convoit\u00e9?<\/p>\n<p>Car, de mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, il faut admettre que les chercheurs d\u2019emploi ont la propension \u00e0 <strong>embellir<\/strong> leur CV. Dans une <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.florianmantione.com\/images\/presse\/presse_00-00-0000-2.pdf\">\u00e9tude<\/a><\/span> de 2013 de la firme fran\u00e7aise <strong>Florian Mantione Institut,<\/strong> 75\u00a0% des chercheurs d\u2019emploi d\u00e9claraient <strong>mentir<\/strong> sur leur CV et 90\u00a0% affirmaient \u00abarranger\u00bb leur <strong>CV.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La nouvelle \u00e9tude, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9e sur deux groupes de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence, soit des<strong> professeurs<\/strong> et des <strong>avocats,<\/strong> a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que les candidats de qualit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure (le <strong>top 10\u00a0%<\/strong>) avaient avantage \u00e0 dresser un<strong> portrait honn\u00eate,<\/strong> en incluant les forces et les faiblesses.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cas des <strong>professeurs,<\/strong> les candidats de<strong> qualit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure<\/strong> qui ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 \u00abune grande ouverture \u00e0 parler de leurs forces et de leurs faiblesses\u00bb ont eu un taux de succ\u00e8s de <strong>73\u00a0%,<\/strong> contrairement \u00e0 un taux de succ\u00e8s de<strong> 51\u00a0%<\/strong> pour ceux qui ont pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 <strong>polir<\/strong> leur portrait.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats sont tout aussi \u00e9loquents du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des <strong>avocats<\/strong>: les candidats qui ont fait preuve de <strong>transparence<\/strong> ont eu un taux de succ\u00e8s <strong>5\u00a0fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9<\/strong> que ceux qui ont choisi la voie de la <strong>vantardise.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Malheureusement, l\u2019idem ne s\u2019applique pas aux candidats de <strong>pi\u00e8tre qualit\u00e9,<\/strong> qui peuvent en fait <strong>nuire<\/strong> \u00e0 leurs chances d\u2019embauche en \u00e9tant trop <strong>authentiques<\/strong>\u00bb, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 le chercheur <strong>Sun Young Lee,<\/strong> qui a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\"><strong>Les bienfaits de la \u00abv\u00e9rification de soi\u00bb<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude base sa <strong>pr\u00e9misse<\/strong> sur la th\u00e9orie de la \u00ab<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Self-verification_theory\">v\u00e9rification\u00a0de soi<\/a><\/span>\u00bb (<em>self-verification<\/em>), une notion mise de l\u2019avant en 1945 par le chercheur <strong>William Swann<\/strong> qui stipule que les humains ont une motivation inh\u00e9rente \u00e0 \u00abcr\u00e9er un<strong> contexte social<\/strong> qui v\u00e9rifie et confirme leurs propres conceptions\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Chercher \u00e0 dresser le <strong>portrait<\/strong> le plus juste de soi-m\u00eame fait partie de cet effort.
