D\u00e9laiss\u00e9es des employeurs, croyez-vous? Absolument pas! Un <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/rh-us.mediaroom.com\/2019-03-12-Survey-1-In-3-Job-Candidates-Removed-From-Consideration-Following-Reference-Checks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nouveau sondage de la firme Accountemps<\/a><\/span>\u00a0r\u00e9v\u00e8le qu&rsquo;un candidat sur trois se voit \u00e9jecter du processus d&#8217;embauche en raison de ses r\u00e9f\u00e9rences. Explications.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>D\u2019une part, on entend dire que les organisations n\u2019osent plus donner des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences \u00ab\u00a0n\u00e9gatives\u00a0\u00bb de peur de repr\u00e9sailles judiciaires de la part des candidats \u00ab\u00a0l\u00e9s\u00e9s \u00bb. D\u2019autre part, on entend aussi dire que les organisations ne font plus confiance aux r\u00e9f\u00e9rences externes, pour cette m\u00eame raison, et que certaines renoncent \u00e0 les demander.<\/p>\n<p>Il est d\u00e8s lors tentant d\u2019en conclure que les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences ne comptent plus pour grand-chose dans le processus d\u2019embauche, et qu\u2019il n\u2019y a pas lieu de s\u2019en soucier comme candidat. Mais c\u2019est faux. Archifaux!<\/p>\n<p>Un nouveau sondage de la firme Accountemps remet les pendules \u00e0 l\u2019heure \u00e0 ce sujet. Les gestionnaires seniors sond\u00e9s par la firme de ressources humaines disent \u00e9carter environ 34 % des candidatures par le biais d\u2019une v\u00e9rification des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences soumises par les candidats. C\u2019est donc une personne sur 3 qui passe \u00e0 la trappe en raison de mauvais commentaires de la part d\u2019un ancien employeur.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Les v\u00e9rifications de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences ont autant de poids que n&rsquo;importe quelle autre \u00e9tape du processus d&#8217;embauche, et un faux pas peut vous ramener \u00e0 la case d\u00e9part, soutient <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/rh-us.mediaroom.com\/2019-03-12-Survey-1-In-3-Job-Candidates-Removed-From-Consideration-Following-Reference-Checks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ici<\/a><\/span> Michael Steinitz, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral d\u2019Accountemps. Trop souvent, on y r\u00e9fl\u00e9chit apr\u00e8s-coup, mais les candidats doivent s\u2019y pr\u00e9parer avec soin et de mani\u00e8re appropri\u00e9e. Si une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence est prise au d\u00e9pourvu par un appel du responsable du recrutement, cela pourrait avoir une incidence sur la conversation ou, pire, compromettre votre candidature. \u00bb\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Les deux aspects qui int\u00e9ressent le plus les gestionnaires qui v\u00e9rifient les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences sont les suivantes : connaitre les forces et les faiblesses du candidat (38%) et valider ses t\u00e2ches et exp\u00e9riences de travail pass\u00e9es (22%).<\/p>\n<p>On est donc loin du jour o\u00f9 les entreprises abandonneront en bloc la v\u00e9rification des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences.
