{"id":80369,"date":"2020-12-15T08:30:34","date_gmt":"2020-12-15T13:30:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isarta.com\/news\/?p=80369"},"modified":"2024-06-20T12:45:18","modified_gmt":"2024-06-20T16:45:18","slug":"les-canadiens-prets-a-se-tourner-vers-une-autre-entreprise-en-cas-dexperience-numerique-mediocre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/isarta.com\/news\/les-canadiens-prets-a-se-tourner-vers-une-autre-entreprise-en-cas-dexperience-numerique-mediocre\/","title":{"rendered":"Canadians ready to break up with companies that can&#8217;t keep up, digitally speaking"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>According to a recent survey, Canadians are much more inclined to turn their backs on companies who can\u2019t keep up with their digital expectations.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is one of the findings of a <a href=\"http:\/\/td.mediaroom.com\/2020-11-19-Canadians-ready-to-break-up-with-companies-that-cant-keep-up-digitally-speaking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leger poll<\/a>, conducted between October 9th through 19th, 2020, on behalf of TD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A sample of 1508 Canadians and 1594 Americans, aged 18 and over, were interviewed using Leger&#8217;s online panel for this poll.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In it, we discover that digital experience is extremely important to the majority of the interrogated Canadian population (84%). They are ready to take their business elsewhere if experiencing a poor digital experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why? Because of the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Canadian population has had to adapt to a lot of things this year. Lockdown, masks, safety distancing, working from home\u2026 81% of that population now expects businesses to do the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab We saw our customer engagement and expectations surge with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, \u00bb says Rizwan Khalfan, Chief Digital and Payments Officer, TD Bank Group. \u00ab Now, the majority of our customers are regularly using our digital platforms (&#8230;). We know our customers are expecting experiences that reflect how they have adapted during the pandemic (&#8230;). \u00bb<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3><strong>More time spent online<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The poll also highlights another aspect of Canadians\u2019 life. 72% of the Canadians surveyed believe they will spend more time online, especially to make purchases, in the coming year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of all available online services, Canadians will spend the most time on these five :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial Services &#8211; 87%<\/li>\n<li>Clothing &#8211; 60%<\/li>\n<li>Remote learning and\/or continuing education &#8211; 54%<\/li>\n<li>Household items (appliances, furniture) &#8211; 48%<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Financial advice as it relates to investing, budgeting, financial management &#8211; 44%<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, Canadians now expect the same level of service that they would from an in-person experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the poll shows, 74% say companies should prioritize virtual customer service and introduce new digital offerings (80%).<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab Knowing that Canadians are relying on digital more heavily than ever before, we know that we will need to continue to innovate in order to exceed their expectations.
