MANDATE

We are looking for someone passionate about communications and social media to strengthen the presence and reach of The Unscented Company. This person will be responsible for developing and executing our content and engagement strategy across various platforms, while building and nurturing communities aligned with our mission and values.

Working closely with the Marketing Director, they will contribute to internal and external brand communications, manage social media, and help develop relationships with relevant communities. This key role within the marketing team supports all departments and plays an essential part in ensuring the coherence and visibility of our communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications & Sustainability

  • Manage the marketing email inbox: respond to external inquiries, filter opportunities, and redirect messages to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Handle donation and partnership requests in line with the annual plan and established budget.
  • Continuously monitor visibility opportunities (awards, recognitions, podcasts, conferences, panels, etc.) and handle applications and coordination related to awards and recognitions to strengthen the company's visibility.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the B Corp Certification process and coordinate annual updates.
  • Act as a B Corp community ambassador by participating in relevant events or initiatives, online or in person.
  • Ensure that all communications (internal and external) reflect TUC's values, voice, and brand image.
  • Structure and manage key internal communications (announcements, highlights, holidays, celebrations, internal initiatives) to ensure smooth and consistent information flow across teams.

Social Media Management

  • Develop and manage the content strategy aligned with launches, campaigns, partnerships, and seasonal themes.
  • Maintain the editorial calendar and ensure alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends, innovations, and best practices in social media.
  • Produce, adapt, and publish content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms with the help of our external partners and Graphic Designer.
  • Identify and integrate UGC opportunities; collaborate with creators and influencers when appropriate.
  • Ensure visual and editorial consistency aligned with TUC's aesthetic and values.
  • Manage, engage, and grow online communities (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn), monitor online conversations, and flag issues or early signals that may impact reputation or public perception.
  • Foster engagement through educational, inspiring, and authentic content.
  • Analyze content performance and optimize distribution based on insights.
  • Prepare monthly KPI reports for social media and paid collaborations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop creative concepts and support marketing campaigns.

Marketing Support

  • Coordinate product mailings to influencers, partners, and collaborators, and ensure proper follow-up.
  • Work with retailers to ensure consistent marketing support and reinforce brand visibility.
  • Write, optimize, and coordinate retailer communications related to joint marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with communication guidelines, tone, and brand image across all external communications.
  • Support the marketing team with contest management, gift shipments, activations, and other digital projects.
  • Contribute to projects led by the eCommerce Manager (e.g., referral programs, optimization initiatives).
  • Provide any additional support required by the marketing and sales teams.

Profile

  • Bilingual (fluency in spoken and written English).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent ability to express ideas clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Shows initiative, autonomy, flexibility, and diplomacy.
  • Curious and open to using AI tools; adapts easily and enjoys experimenting with new approaches.
  • Integrates AI ethically and appropriately into their work.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in social media, communications, or digital marketing (experience in CPG or lifestyle brands is an asset).
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to adapt tone to different audiences.
  • Proficiency with social media planning and analytics tools.
  • Creative mindset, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
