The Opportunity: Kickstart Your Sales Career at a High-Growth Startup
We are looking for a motivated, early-career Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Sales team. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate who wants to break into tech sales, learn how to prospect effectively, and play a key part in building a high-velocity outbound engine.
You'll work directly with our COO and sales leadership to generate leads, support outreach campaigns, and contribute to pipeline growth across the UCO market. This is a foundational role with meaningful exposure, real responsibility, and the potential to grow quickly within the organization.
What You'll Do
Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Identify and research potential customers across UCO, environmental services, and related industrial markets
- Build, maintain, and organize lead lists across multiple regions
- Launch cold outreach sequences via email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Book qualified meetings for the senior sales team
Sales Support & Operations
- Prepare pre-call research, account summaries, and meeting briefs
- Log activities, notes, and outcomes in our CRM
- Support proposal drafting, quoting, and follow-up tasks
- Assist with customer communication and scheduling
Market Insights & Data Work
- Track outreach performance and report on key metrics (contact rate, meeting conversions, etc.)
- Identify patterns and share insights with the sales team
- Help build scalable outbound workflows and SOPs
General Commercial & Administrative Support
- Support conference prep and follow-up
- Assist with organizing pipeline reviews and sales team documentation
- Coordinate small tasks that keep the commercial engine running smoothly
What We're Looking For
This is an early-career role-we don't need someone with deep sales experience. We're looking for potential, attitude, and energy.
Core Qualifications
- Completed undergraduate degree
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Comfortable talking to customers over email, phone, and video
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and adapt
- Interested in sales, operations, or startup environments
Bonus Points (Not required. Nice to have)
- Experience with outbound sales, customer-facing work, or cold outreach
- Exposure to CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Prior internship or co-op experience in a commercial role
- Curiosity about IoT, sustainability, or industrial markets
