Marketing Manager
Full-Time, On-Site - Vaughan, ON
What we're looking for
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Marketing Manager at Sweetapolita Inc., located in Vaughan, ON. This role is ideal for a high-potential marketer with solid experience who's ready to step into greater ownership and grow alongside a founder-led brand.
You'll work closely with the founder and be hands-on in both planning and execution. This is not a role where you manage a large team or delegate everything - you'll be directly involved in bringing campaigns, content, and ideas to life across channels. We're looking for someone who is confident in their skills, excited to learn, and motivated by impact rather than hierarchy.
What You'll Do
- Plan and execute marketing initiatives that support business goals
- Own day-to-day execution across key channels (email, social, web, paid support)
- Help strengthen brand storytelling and consistency across touchpoints
- Support campaign launches, promotions, and product storytelling
- Track performance, learn from results, and iterate based on what works
- Assist with Amazon onboarding and marketing readiness
- Support wholesale and trade marketing needs (sell sheets, communications, launches)
- Collaborate closely with the founder to test ideas and identify growth opportunities
What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days
- You understand the brand, customer, and key marketing channels deeply
- You've helped organize priorities and establish a clear execution rhythm
- You've improved performance or clarity in at least one core channel (email, content, paid support, or web)
- You've contributed meaningfully to storytelling and campaign execution
- You're becoming a trusted, proactive partner to the founder
Who You Are
- You're creative, curious, and grounded in execution
- You enjoy both thinking and doing - and don't wait for perfect conditions
- You're comfortable working in a small team where ownership matters
- You bring structure, follow-through, and momentum to your work
- You're growing into leadership, not expecting a fully built department
This Role Is Likely Not a Fit If...
- You're looking to manage a large team or multiple direct reports right away
- You're happiest staying in one lane with clearly defined tasks
- You expect big-brand resources, agencies, or layers of approval
Experience
- Skills We're Looking For
- 4-6+ years of experience in marketing, ideally in CPG, food, or ecommerce
- Strong foundation in digital marketing, content, and social media
- Clear storytelling instincts and strong written communication
- Experience supporting campaigns end-to-end, from idea to execution
- Comfort using marketing tools, analytics, and reporting dashboards
- Ability to manage projects independently and juggle priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or similar (a plus)
- Experience in ecommerce or consumer brands is a strong plus
Why This Role Is Special
- Direct access to the founder and real influence on decisions
- A beloved, emotionally resonant brand with strong creative potential
- Opportunity to grow your scope and skills as the business scales
- A chance to help build systems and processes from the ground up
Compensation
Base salary: approximately $80,000, depending on experience
Performance-based bonus opportunity
Health benefits (details shared during interview process)
Meaningful growth opportunity as the brand scales
