We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!

As the Internal Technical Writer on the Technical Publications team, you will work with cross-functional teams to effectively communicate the usage of applications and operational processes for Kardium employees. Critical to this role is the ability to communicate complex material clearly for audiences of varying backgrounds and levels of expertise, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, standard operating procedures, and industry best practices.

Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC. 

Meaningful work you will be a part of :

  • Plan, write, edit, and maintain internal instructional and reference materials such as user guides, service manuals, and knowledge bases
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand how they use applications and processes, develop working knowledge of the tools used, and create user-focused training materials and documentation
  • Work with application and process owners to develop and document process flows and operational procedures
  • Define appropriate authoring tools and output formats for documentation based on user needs
  • Create clear, easy-to-follow documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality requirements
  • Manage the review, approval, and version control of documentation throughout its lifecycle
  • Prepare and maintain financial statement process control documentation, including narratives, instructions, and flowcharts that reflect current practices
  • Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the Technical Publications infrastructure, including style guides, templates, work instructions, authoring tools, and documentation processes

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; coursework in writing or communication is an asset
  • A minimum of five years’ experience developing technical documentation in a regulated industry, where you developed exemplary technical writing skills to independently drive projects and author documentation
  • Strong interviewing and research skills coupled with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with XML, single-sourcing, and content management
  • Expertise using Madcap Flare, Microsoft Office, and source control software (e.g., Git)
  • A well-developed ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work on several projects concurrently
  • The ability to adapt to changes and shifting priorities effectively
  • Initiative to lead working groups with subject matter experts to define project scope and to execute plans independently
  • The aptitude for working within a regulated environment

Compensation 

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted. 

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan. 

  • $72,000 - $110,000 (CAD Annually)
