As a key member of the Marketing team, you'll help shape health and wellness outcomes for people around the world.

Here's what you can expect in your role:

Overall Responsibilities

The Associate Marketing Manager, Innovation is responsible for delivering end-to-end innovation projects that drive brand growth, portfolio expansion and consumer relevance. The role blends consumer insight, strategic thinking and strong execution to bring industry-leading innovations to the market, on time and on budget. The Associate Marketing Manager, Innovation works cross-functionally with Brand, R&D, Insights, Global Innovation, Operations, Commercial Strategy, Regulatory and Finance to develop consumer-led innovation that wins in market from concept through commercialization and post-launch optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Innovation Strategy & Pipeline Development

  • Support the development of a 5-year innovation pipeline plan in partnership with senior marketing leadership
  • Identify white space opportunities through consumer insights, trend analysis and competitive landscaping
  • Execute consumer-led innovation concepts aligned to brand and portfolio strategy.
  • Contribute to portfolio strategy, including format, benefit, pack size, flavour and claims development
  • Ensure compliance with all Canada Regulatory standards and Legal requirements
  • Ensuring that insights and data are utilized to form compelling business cases that clearly identify consumer need, product reason to believe, communications strategy (if relevant), competitive assessment, and sales & profit potential.

Project Management & Commercialization:

  • Own end-to-end execution of innovation projects from ideation through launch
  • Manage project timelines through stage gate process, in conjunction with PMO support ensuring all product marketing activities are executed on schedule
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency in product launch execution

Financial & Business Case Ownership:

  • Build & maintain innovation P&Ls
  • Support post-launch performance analysis and optimization

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with Brand, Integrated Marketing and In-house creative team to align innovation marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Deliver sales sell-in materials for innovation as needed to bring to life our key initiatives for the sales organization and their customers
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders on innovation process.

Data and Analytics:

  • Analyzing brands and market trends and recommending actions to be taken
  • Interpret consumption data and make recommendations to increase consumer sales
  • Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, providing regular reports

Key Performance Metrics

  • On-time delivery of key innovation milestones (stage gates, briefs, packaging, mock ups, samples, etc.)
  • Sales enablement materials delivered on time and with clear value messaging
  • Timely progression through stage gate checkpoints (in partnership with PMO)
  • Sales performance vs. plan
  • Net margin adherence on new launches (vs. forecast)
  • Contribution to portfolio profitability and productivity (e.g., avg. sales per SKU improvement)
  • % of new product pages live and complete at time of launch (copy, assets, claims)
  • Timelines and accuracy of product content updates across e-comm and retail platforms

Your experience and perspective might include:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

  • College or University Business Degree.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of product marketing experience with a background in consumer-packaged goods, beauty or VMS environment. Innovation experience preferred
  • Professional demeanor for presentations and stakeholder management with Senior leaders and C- level executives
  • Excellent time management/project management skills (ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines and multiple stakeholders demands)
  • Passion for consumer insights and innovation curiosity
  • Understanding of managing a P&L
  • A team player who can inspire and lead a cross-functional team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in health and wellness industry is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Nielsen, IQVIA or other POS data sources an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Compensation

Jamieson Wellness Inc. offers a competitive total rewards package that goes beyond base pay, including eligibility for our Short-Term Incentive Program and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth.

For this role, the posting range is "$53,690 - $92,040", which reflects the full salary range of the position. The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, level of education, and other professional qualifications aligned with the requirements and complexity of this position.
