EV Logistics provides distribution services for one of Western Canada's largest grocery retailers and we're looking for a Human Resources Representative to join the Human Resources Team.

This individual will be providing generalized HR support to our operations team, from supporting employee concerns and questions to coaching and support of our leaders. This individual will also be involved in employee engagement initiatives, programming, event planning and other areas of HR as required. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Team to drive employee engagement and work through people concerns thoroughly and effectively.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate continuous improvement projects through ownership of things like exit interviews and retention surveys.
  • Lead feedback programming such as our Voice of the Team suggestion box program and our in person "HR Bar".
  • Attend team huddles to share informational updates as well as answer day to day HR questions.
  • Manage employee related concerns and investigations into misconduct.
  • Support attendance management through regular communications with team members and their managers.
  • Create a fun work environment and positive culture that reinforces our Company's core values through developing and running site wide events.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee programs to achieve desired engagement.
  • Communicate and reinforce the company's culture to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Leverages internal communication vehicles to ensure employee awareness, understanding and participation in programs and process improvement related to increasing engagement and building a best place to work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • 1-3 years' experience in office administration, customer service, recruitment or related field
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Confidence to work with people at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in warehousing or similar industries is an asset
  • Reliable Transportation is essential - there is no public transportation to the facility
  • Flexibility in Availability -This role is an on-site, in person opportunity that requires some flexibility in schedules to support our 24/7 business.

COMPENSATION: $65,000- $70,000
