The Opportunity
The Digital Marketing & Design Specialist reports to the Director, Business Development and Marketing and is responsible for executing and maintaining the firm's digital marketing presence across owned channels, including the website, intranet, and social media platforms.
The role plays a key hands?on role in website maintenance, SEO implementation, content publishing, and performance tracking, while also producing high?quality, on?brand design and visual assets that support client engagement, business development initiatives, and firm?wide communications.
Compensation
The expected compensation range for this position is $66,000 - $86,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Essential Duties
Digital Marketing
- Maintain and optimize the firm's website and intranet using the CMS, including implementing and supporting SEO best practices, accessibility standards, optimization, and ongoing content governance to improve reach and user experience.
- Update and refresh marketing content (lawyer biographies, practice and industry pages, articles, and campaign landing pages) with provided copy, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards and firm policies.
- Support day?to?day social media execution, including building and maintaining content calendars, designing and optimizing visuals, scheduling posts, and monitoring engagement and mentions.
- Monitor and report on digital performance, identifying trends and opportunities to improve reach, engagement, and effectiveness.
Design
- Collaborate with lawyers to design and produce on-brand marketing materials for print and digital channels, including proposals/pitch materials, presentation decks, one-pagers, brochures, event collateral, signage, and social media assets.
- Capture and edit video and multimedia content, including captions, basic motion graphics and versioning for web and social platforms.
- Coordinate design requests by gathering briefs, tracking timelines and deliverables, maintaining version control, and routing items for review and approvals.
- Develop and maintain branded templates and libraries (PowerPoint, Word and email graphics) to improve quality, speed and consistency across the firm.
Other
- Provide support to cross-functional stakeholders (events, HR, professional resources, knowledge management) to execute firm priorities.

Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated hands?on experience in digital marketing execution, including website maintenance, content management and governance, SEO optimization, AODA compliance, and using digital analytics to track marketing ROI, in a professional services or similarly complex environment.
- Experience supporting social media execution, including content scheduling, platform?specific optimization, basic performance tracking, and ongoing maintenance of content calendars.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to produce polished, client?ready visual materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and collaboration with lawyers, and other internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast?paced, deadline?driven environment, with strong organization, follow?through, and the ability to escalate risks or timing issues as appropriate.
- Client?service mindset with the ability to gather requirements, propose practical solutions, and deliver consistently high?quality work.
- Flexibility to support occasional overtime and event?related duties, including periodic travel to off?site meetings as required.
Education/Work Experience Requirements
- A university degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications and/or Digital Marketing is preferred.
