Position Summary:

The Design & Marketing Specialist supports CaRMS by creating visually compelling, brand-aligned, and audience-focused marketing and communications materials. This role blends design, marketing execution, and marketing operations, including automation and workflow optimization. The successful candidate brings a strong eye for design, solid marketing instincts, and the ability to translate ideas and business objectives into clear, engaging visuals and content across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Brand Execution

  • Design and produce high-quality, branded marketing and communications materials, including presentations, social media graphics, brochures, reports, email assets, infographics, and event materials.
  • Create visually engaging content for internal and external audiences while ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Maintain and evolve templates, brand resources, and design systems to ensure visual consistency and efficiency.
  • Review and edit materials for visual accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and overall quality.

Marketing Campaign Support

  • Support the planning and execution of marketing and communications campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support event marketing initiatives, including signage, collateral, promotional materials, and digital assets.

Digital Content & Platforms

  • Support the team with digital marketing assets for email, web, and social platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal team to understand communication goals and deliver effective creative solutions.

Marketing Automation & Workflow Optimization

  • Build, maintain, and optimize automated marketing workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and well-structured CRM and marketing data to support reporting and automation.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of marketing tools and software.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work within established timelines.
  • Coordinate with and manage external vendors for specialized or large-scale projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of work experience in design, marketing, or creative communications.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (eg: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere ).
  • Experience using tools such as Asana, Microsoft 365, WordPress, MailChimp.
  • Demonstrated experience, through a portfolio, of creating content for digital platforms.
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit organization.
  • Strong understanding of branding, layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Credentials demonstrating competency in Adobe, Wordpress and Hubspot.
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience working in a fully remote environment.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or a strong willingness to learn, own, and manage a marketing automation platform.
  • A desire to engage with the team on the brand evolution of CaRMS.
