We are looking for a creative and skilled Graphic Designer to join our team and help bring our planning concepts to life.

Position Overview:

The Graphic Designer will collaborate with our urban planners, urban designers, and other stakeholders to create compelling visual materials that help communicate complex planning and design ideas. This role requires a balance of creative vision and technical proficiency to create maps, diagrams, renderings, infographics, presentations, report formatting, website updates and marketing materials that convey our design concepts to clients, stakeholders, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design high-quality visual materials, including maps, illustrations, infographics, 3D renderings and report formatting, to support urban planning and design projects.
  • Update company website with new content as required.
  • Collaborate closely with urban planners, and designers to translate technical data into visually engaging and easy-to-understand graphics.
  • Assist in the preparation of public engagement materials, including posters, boards, and digital presentations for community meetings and workshops.
  • Use GIS and other spatial data tools to design maps and analyze spatial information.
  • Develop presentations, brochures, and marketing materials.
  • Create and maintain consistent branding and visual standards across all project-related materials.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in graphic design, urban planning, and digital communication.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, or a related degree.
  • Work experience in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field is beneficial.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a graphic designer, preferably in urban planning, architecture, or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, SketchUp, Canva, Web Design and other relevant design software.
  • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) is a strong plus.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design skills, especially in creating technical and spatial visuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of urban planning principles and processes is preferred but not required.
