Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Lifecycle Marketing, Lead, based in Montreal. The Lifecycle Marketing Lead will be responsible for designing and executing marketing strategies focused on customer engagement and retention. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, developing marketing campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing customer behavior, and coordinating targeted communication strategies. This role requires close collaboration with sales and customer service to ensure a cohesive and impactful customer experience journey.

You will architect automated lifecycle systems that drive:

  • Marketplace conversion
  • Repeat purchase behavior
  • Cross-sell into new verticals (travel, wellness, insurance)
  • Merchant success and revenue expansion
  • Long-term retention and LTV growth

You'll work directly with revenue, product, and data leadership to build a scalable lifecycle engine grounded in segmentation and behavioural triggers.

What you'll own:

Lifecycle Strategy

  • Design and implement full-funnel lifecycle strategy
  • Build activation flows that convert new users into active marketplace buyers
  • Create retention loops that drive repeat purchase behavior
  • Develop re-engagement programs for dormant users
  • Launch cross-vertical nurture programs (e.g., retail travel insurance)

Segmentation & Personalization

  • Build dynamic audience segments (breed, size, life stage, geography, behavior)
  • Create intelligent branching journeys
  • Develop persona-based messaging frameworks
  • Implement event-based trigger campaigns
  • Drive personalization beyond first name tokens

Automation & Systems

  • Own lifecycle tools
  • Implement behavior-based triggers and event tracking
  • Build scalable campaign architecture
  • Improve attribution and reporting visibility
  • Collaborate with engineering on data integrations

Revenue & Optimization

  • A/B test messaging, offers, and cadence
  • Improve activation rate, repeat purchase rate, and retention
  • Drive LTV expansion
  • Measure contribution to GMV and revenue growth
  • Optimize deliverability and channel mix (email, push, SMS)

What we're looking for:

  • 5-8+ years in lifecycle / CRM / growth marketing
  • Experience owning lifecycle at a marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer platform
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, behavioral triggers, and automation logic
  • Comfortable working with product & engineering teams
  • Data-driven mindset (SQL or analytics familiarity is a plus)
  • Experience building lifecycle programs from 0 1 or scaling from early stage
  • Strong copy instincts and understanding of customer psychology

Bonus if you:

  • Have worked in a multi-vertical ecosystem
  • Have experience with personalization at scale
  • Have built cross-sell programs
  • Understand subscription or recurring revenue dynamics
