Reporting directly to the President, the Public Relations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing communication and public relations strategies tailored to the needs of our clients. In the course of their various duties, the Public Relations Manager demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the Canadian media and influence landscape, demonstrates outstanding strategic thinking, understands the importance of forging strong ties with all stakeholders, and demonstrates natural leadership.
Requirements
- University degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business administration or related field.
- At least 5 years' significant experience in public relations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Outstanding strategic planning skills, an understanding of different communications channels, the mastery of the art of brand positioning and a strong analytical mind.
- Thorough understanding of the Canadian media sphere and influence, and strong, established relationships with several key industry contacts. Experience with international media will be considered an asset.
- Ability to build trust with all stakeholders. Demonstrate positive leadership and excellent ethical judgment at all times.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a sincere desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize and enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of social networking platforms and influencer marketing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Mac, social network management, graphic design, monitoring and performance analysis tools.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement public relations and communications strategies tailored to customer needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships of trust through proactive and effective communication.
- Maintain strong, authentic relationships with media and content creators on behalf of the agency.
- Prepare strategic presentations and contribute to customer pitches.
- Write effective messages and relevant content adapted to different platforms and target audiences, while ensuring the consistency of messages across multiple communication channels.
- Build concrete, structured action plans, to be orchestrated with internal and external teams, to translate the developed strategies into highly effective and collaborative work.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance and propose strategic optimization recommendations.
- Remain abreast of the latest news, industry trends and developments on digital platforms.
