ABOUT THE ROLE

Our marketing team is growing! We have an opening for a Proposals & Marketing Specialist at our Edmonton, Alberta office to join our corporate team of marketing professionals. Are you:

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field; direct experience may be substituted for education.
  • At least two years of proposal and internal/external marketing experience with an engineering, environmental, architectural, or construction services firm.
  • Strong writing, editing, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

What Does the Job Entail?

Reporting to the Marketing Director, while partnering closely with Alberta Branch Management, you will be responsible for delivering the following for our Edmonton and Calgary offices:

Proposals & Business Development

  • Conducting regular bid monitoring
  • Facilitating go/no-go discussions
  • Hosting weekly opportunities meetings
  • Leading proposal development using custom eight-step process
  • Assisting with Key Account Management
  • Developing custom SOQs and brochures

Internal Communications

  • Creating quarterly internal e-newsletter
  • Preparing regional updates to corporate intranet site
  • Getting involved with video creation

External Communications

  • Regional updates to website
  • Regular social media posting
  • Creating custom brochures or collateral
  • Providing advertising and conference support
  • Developing award submissions
  • Creating custom graphics
