Pay: $68,000 - $81,000 CAD

THE ROLE

Joining the Creative department as our Senior Designer you will learn about Thrive, how we operate and understand our values and principles. You will collaboratively apply creative and design expertise to produce visually consistent, effective, and on-brand online advertising campaigns for sustainable project growth.

Your focus will of responsibilities will be:

  • Domain: Lead end-to-end creative campaign projects, helping to define the overarching look and feel, offering clear direction to team members, and producing industry-leading digital creatives adaptable across various mediums, including static images, video, motion and web.
  • Client: Align creativity with business goals, lead client presentations to build confidence, actively contribute to project alignment, independently innovate, and collaborate to improve project outcomes.
  • People: Collaborate with the Design team to align projects with strategy, mentor team members, maintain quality, support creative visioning, and foster a feedback-rich environment for growth and development.
  • Company: Foster strong connections with Performance teams, champion process improvement through innovation, incorporate comprehensive research into projects, and relentlessly enhance content, processes, and strategies to optimize results and productivity.

We're committed to delivering an exceptional onboarding experience that will create a strong foundation for your launch in this role:

  • In your first 30 days you'll learn the company's mission and values, how we operate as an agency, and onboard into your first creative projects. You'll also be introduced to our creative process, services, and products.
  • In your first 60 days you'll put your learning, skills and experiences to use by executing and producing deliverables for 1-2 active creative clients.
  • In your first 90 days you'll have become an integrated team member, contributor, mentor and trusted resource to the Creative team producing best in class creative with a focus on performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have a portfolio that showcases examples of static, motion, video, and digital marketing campaign work for a variety of different brands, with supporting results and insights driven by your creative.
  • You have worked on a variety of complex creative projects where you've had to translate brand standards and guidelines into creative executions that work across multiple digital marketing channels and tactics.
  • You have a clear production process that affords you the ability to work efficiently, manage and produce large volumes of deliverables with concurrent deadlines, and assist others.
  • You have demonstrated an ability and expertise working with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (specifically After Effect and Premiere Pro), and Figma.
  • You have high attention to detail and proficiency in applying design principles, including hierarchy, visual balance, photography, illustrations, typography, and composition paired with expert layout skills, storyboarding and sound design to communicate and simplify complex concepts to your audience.
  • You are keen to learn, grow and hone your creative skills to broaden your creative skillset, better understand digital marketing creative, and how to make better data-driven design optimizations.
  • You are a natural leader who enjoys mentoring other Designers, helping them enhance their technical skills.
  • You have experience collaborating with other departments and the Design team to align creative projects with strategy, ensuring they meet objectives.
