AltaGas - Energy Marketing Representative
The Energy Marketing Representative is responsible for overseeing a marketing book and managing book risk, in coordination with the Supply, Marketing and Trading teams. The overall objective of this role is to ensure book trades deliver on budgeted margins and supply costs, and to coordinate with key stakeholders to develop the supply franchise. This role is responsible for executing on market opportunities across geographies, time, and specifications.
You will:
Oversee a marketing book and generate profits and manage risk for the respective business
Establish and maintain key relationships with both external and internal customers to support both long-term and short-term transaction windows
Develop deal structures in line with requirements, delivering value to all involved
Anticipate counterparty position in the respective product/market
Coordinate with commercial analysts as needed and to develop the deal
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
Support a culture of responsible finance, good governance, expense discipline and ethics
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the company's overall reputation
Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you

Forge & manage customer relationships and contracts for assigned areas of responsibility
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new business opportunities
Liaise with various internal and external groups to implement projects that optimize AltaGas assets
Support complex modeling, annual budgets and strategic plans for assigned areas of responsibility within the Midstream group
Work with a high performing team of marketers, analysts and schedulers
Maintain a strong understanding of current news and events that affect natural gas liquids, natural gas, and crude oil markets and their potential impacts on AltaGas' business
You have:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
7+ Years experience in a related role required
required licensing and registrations as applicable
Knowledge of respective products and clients
Advance analytical and numerical competency
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to analyze and pitch situations and determine suitable counterparties
