Position Title: Individual Marketing Consultant

Reports To: Manager, Marketing - Product Development and Marketing

Department: Individual Product Development and Marketing

Term: Permanent Full-Time

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

The Opportunity: The Individual Marketing Consultant leads projects such as new product launches. They develop and implement marketing and communications plans working closely with the Marketing Specialists, Product Managers, Creative Services, and other teams. A big part of their job is writing marketing and communications in plain language. They're always searching for fresh and cool ideas to promote our individual insurance products. What you will be doing:

• Write marketing and communication strategies for our Individual Life products focused on the target audience.
• Create marketing materials for new products and product enhancements.
• Responsible for content on the corporate and advisor websites
• Work collaboratively with the Marketing Specialists, Product managers and Graphics Services department to product marketing materials.
• Write and edit marketing materials that are clear and concise.

What you will bring:

• Minimum of five years related marketing experience.
• Diploma or Degree from a recognized college or university in Marketing, Communications or relevant discipline.
• Three to five years of writing experience. Superior and diverse writing skills.
• Industry related experience, as it relates to Individual product marketing will be considered an asset.
• Strong teamwork abilities, working with other both internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in program and strategy development and delivery.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Direct experience working with creative designers and knowledge of basic design principles
