DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS & EVENTS COORDINATOR

POSITION SUMMARY:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic team within BC Soccer at its Vancouver office. BC Soccer is seeking a highly motived, organized, detail-oriented, energetic, strategic thinker, and proactive professional for the position of Digital Communications & Events Coordinator. This position is responsible for delivering BC Soccer's digital communication strategy, support programs and services and assisting with planning and execution of major events.

ROLE OBJECTIVES:

The Digital Communications & Events Coordinator will contribute for effective execution of the BC Soccer communication plan and support the delivery of key events and activities. This includes leading all aspect of digital communications, content creation, social media management, and event logistics and planning. The Digital Communications & Events Coordinator will engage with partners and stakeholders, lead all corporate communications efforts and work with 3rd parties to enhance BC Soccer's presence across all official channels.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Coordination of day-to-day communications and support to key events organized and operated by BC Soccer in alignment to BC Soccer's Strategic Plan.
  • Build and deliver communication plans to support engagement and awareness of BC Soccer program, services and events.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the association's communication channels including website, digital media channels, e-newsletter, and participant databases with the objective of increasing interaction and engagement with the wider soccer community.
  • Maintenance of corporate communications, including official bulletins, releases, and memos.
  • Develop engaging content for all BC Soccer media channels, website, and social media with content tailored to specific audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Liaise with general media to ensure regular coverage of the Association's activities and programs.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of BC Soccer's Competitions management system while supporting overall planning for events and activities.
  • Be part of a team that plans and delivers all major events, coordinating branding, promotion, streaming and overall coverage of all BC Soccer events and activities.
  • Liaise with partners and external contractors to actively support fulfillment of strategic goals and operational priorities within all official communication and marketing efforts.

REMUNERATION

The position will include full benefits and a competitive compensation ranging between $45,000 to $55,000 annually based on experience for a role of this nature.
