The Opportunity

The Marketing Coordinator supports the development and execution of marketing initiatives designed with the customer in mind to develop GDA's brands, grow market share, and drive sales. It is a holistic role that spans marketing disciplines including, but not limited to, communications, brand, channel & customer marketing, digital and print advertising, partnership management, and research.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate and execute brand, product, and customer marketing initiatives, managing within preset budgets
  • Conduct program tracking, reporting, and ROI. Simplify complex data into user-friendly formats (charts, graphs, visuals) for reporting & presentations
  • Work with vendors, agencies, and partners
  • Gather and evaluate quotes, execute new vendor set ups, issue purchase orders, and reconcile invoices and program costs
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials
  • Ex. print and digital advertising, point of sale, sales collateral, internal communications, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal GDA teams to ensure consistent brand, product, and customer messaging
  • Create and coordinate important internal and external communications
  • Ex. announcements, new product releases, media releases, and dealer communications; etc.
  • Maintain assets such as trade booths, printed materials, merchandise, product samples, etc.
  • Coordinate shipments of marketing collateral, product samples, displays, etc.
  • Support, conduct, and evaluate market research initiatives to identify opportunities
  • Know, follow, and where possible, improve upon internal processes & procedures
  • Act as a GDA advocate, supporting all our brands and products
  • Additional tasks or duties will be assigned as needed

What You Need

  • Post-Secondary education in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 1-3 years' experience in a retail/business environment
  • Marketing background is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with French being an asset
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in business and creative writing
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a high degree of initiative
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to strategize, prioritize and recommend creative solutions
  • Excellent in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
