NOTE: Travelling within Kootenays region (To re-establish the ability to operate and maintain the Rogers Wireless network for its customers in the south east portion of the province of British Columbia)

ROLE: Telecommunications Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Processing and auditing company's telecommunications invoices

? Performing wireless device monitoring and administration

? Interacting with vendors

? Performing tower structural analysis for placement of antennas

? Overseeing and leading construction of communications facilities

? Coordinating with other departments as they may relate to telecommunications division or a project;

? Troubleshooting of equipments when they go faulty.

REQUIREMENTS:

? Travelling within Kootenays region

? Available to work flexible hours (i.e. Weekends, nights)

? Bachelor's degree in electronics or telecommunications engineering or related experience

? Prior experience in a related field is always a plus.

? A certification in the area of telecommunications or experience working with an international telecom company

NICE TO HAVE:

? Have their own off road vehicle to drive though remote adverse conditions and mountainous areas (however, vehicle will be provided by Rogers if required)

? Offroading hobbies (i.e. Snowmobiling, etc) as this role will require the contractor to go into the wildnerness independently and be comfortable with it

? Comfortable with helicopter travel

? First aid skills (but will be trained)
