Alea Jacta Inc. represents several of the most important games and toys distributors to Canadian retailers. The role of the Sales Assistant English-speaking sector is to support the Commercial Agent in the development of the English-speaking Canadian market outside Quebec. The role is expected to evolve according to sales growth and the candidate's initiative.

Here are the tasks expected as soon as they start:

This is a bilingual English/French position, although 100% of the customers are English-speaking - 3 to 5 days a week (depending on experience - to be discussed)

80% Support for the development of new customers and established customer base

  • Develop personalized sales tools (new product catalog, personalized basket, themed assortment, presentation document)
  • Follow the news and extract lists and resources to communicate them to customers
  • Update customer product lists (specific spreadsheets for customers)
  • Write group messages to announce new products as soon as they are available for pre-order
  • Follow up on backorders
  • Maintain customer mailing lists and information
  • Receive incoming calls and make telephone follow-ups in support to the Commercial Agent

20% Contribute to sales strategies

  • Contribute to the design of assortments and identification of related products
  • Collaborate in the implementation strategies with new retailers
  • Stay current with game and toy industry news
  • Research and classify studio and supplier information
  • Test and review sample games and toys
  • Occasionally: Participate in various promotional events (trade shows, conventions, launches, etc.).
  • Occasionally: Host in-store training sessions

Other 10%

  • Perform administrative tasks (document review, expense account, etc.)
  • Produce content for social media
  • Any other related task in support of the sales team

Experience to have

  • Experience with mass market purchasing processes and Amazon (determining asset)
  • Experience in selling or sourcing games and toys in store (an asset)
  • Have a College diploma (DEC).
  • Have 3 years of relevant experience in a position in distribution or sales
  • Be perfectly bilingual both orally and in writing -100% of customers are English-speaking
  • Master MS Office suite.
  • Control of social media.
  • Knowledge of Teams tools
  • Experience with POS or distribution software
  • Ability to travel occasionally (valid driver's license and passport)
