YOUR MISSION

The Project manager's primary role is to support the Creative producers as well as the creative team in managing the projects.They are the studio team's main point of contact in regard to managing and realization of the project from start to finish. They participate in creating budgets, schedules, deadlines, to-do lists and follow-ups. They manage internal and external schedules, resources, deliverables as well as project tools setup. The project manager is responsible for the proper progress and well-being of the project and its budget.  

We are looking for a seasoned candidate who has previous experience working in the complex environment of entertainment and the performing arts, is a fast learner, has a lot of initiative, that can be autonomous and can get quickly acquainted with the job.The candidate should have excellent people skills and communicate with ease with all internal and external collaborators. They are able to bring all the people involved in the projects together to understand their roles, follow instructions and schedules, as well as meet deadlines. Being able to adequately prioritize workload, handle pressure and have excellent organization skills are a must. 

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • In collaboration with producers and creative team, receive client brief and necessary client assets;
  • Participate in the preparation of budgets in close collaboration with the creative team and producers;
  • Participate with producers and creative team in determining internal and external resources, 
  • Present the project and its mandate to the team, and assign teams tasks. 
  • Develop and monitor production schedules (internal and external) and assure comprehension of them to the clients and team.
  • Closely keep track of studio deliveries and assure a fluid delivery.
  • Anticipate problems and foresee solutions.
  • Keep clients informed of project progress and maintain trusting relationships with them.
  • Setup & manage communications tools (Slack, Frame.io, calendars, production documents).
  • Follow-up with employees and freelancers to maintain clear communication, monitor content creation progression, and keep track of project milestones.
  • Manage available production tools and keep information updated daily/weekly;
  • Efficiently manage the distribution of work hours according to the banked hours allocated to projects to respect budgetary allowances.
  • Work with producers and creative team on tasks relating to: accounting (expense accounts, invoicing, etc.); technical aspects (project guidelines, transfers, archiving, etc.), day-to-day projects and studio operations. 
  • Efficiently collaborate with company directors.
  • Collaborate with management to improve internal practices.  
  • Contribute to the team's success with knowledge and information sharing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a project management and/or production position in the entertainment and performing arts industry; 
  • Solid experience working on large-scale concert productions.
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English;
  • Mastery of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), the Mac ecosystem as well as Google Suite (Gmail, Google Sheet, Drive), Slack, Frame IO, Dropbox, Asana.
  • Experience in team-building with internal resources as well as our external network; 
  • Demonstrated ability to run multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, and as part of a team.
  • Available to work outside regular office hours;
  • Keen interest for stage arts, creative content conception and digital arts. 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent organizational and management skills;
  • Knowledge of content production, video post-production and new media technologies an asset;
