Marketing & Event Specialist - Co-Op

Your Position & How You Will Contribute:

Based in York Region in a hybrid working environment - Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Event Specialist will be responsible for the coordination, deployment, and post-event analysis of telMAX's marketing and event schedule. In this dynamic position, you will be required to utilize your marketing knowledge, schedule and coordinate employees, manage event premiums and assets, and work with partners and organizations to ensure a smooth and professional event presence.

Responsibilities & Key Duties include:

Event Coordination:

Manage the event calendar.

Create a list of required staff, inventory, and assets for each event.

Coordinate event set up and tear down with the event hosts - and ensure information is distributed to internal teams.

Propose, create, and schedule event-specific social posts.

  • Coordinate the creation and use of event-specific lead management forms.
  • Create post-event analysis and reports for ?successes?, ?areas of improvement?, and ?future ideas?.

Marketing Support:

  • Provide marketing analysis of digital marketing and web performance.
  • Manage and maintain a database of non-serviceable leads, and create weekly reports.
  • Draft and create email marketing campaigns for leads gathered at events.

Partner & Vendor Relations:

Create, track, and ensure delivery of marketing assets and premiums with our suppliers/vendors.

Monitor event premium stock levels and advise when restock orders need to be placed.

Supply digital assets and facilitate conversations/briefs with external partners (when required).

Attributes:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and marketing practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage individual tasks and collaborate with a team.
  • Strong time and task management skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with social monitoring tools such as Meltwater (preferred).
  • G-class Drivers License and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings (when required).
  • Ability to easily lift 50lbs.

Education:

Currently enrolled in a Marketing or Marketing-related field of study.
