Summary Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Sales Department. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the plant sales force including account planning and sales activity management. Makes recommendations to the Plant General Manager with respect to the best interests of the Company wherever Marketing and Sales activities are involved. Participate in daily Sales & Operations Planning at the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop the Plant Marketing and Sales objectives in conjunction with the General Manager and manage the Sales Department to meet or exceed the targets.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to ensure the right products are at the right locations in the right markets in sufficient quantities to meet sales & market share objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to determine customer needs, price targets, size availability, and optional equipment offerings and color schemes.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote SRI and Modular construction. (Website, social media, advertising, trade shows, etc,)
  • Perform standard field audits of each retailer quarterly to ensure that the appearance of sales lots, show home presentation and general sales attitude of each retailer and sales representative are at optimum levels.
  • Develop customer satisfaction reviews and report on metrics to the Management team.
  • Negotiate and contribute to the decision process surrounding the negotiations with new potential street retailers, in-park development retailers and builder developers.
  • Attends profit center management and scheduling meetings and will communicate matters necessary to meet the production schedule.
  • Will ensure that homes are sold in strict accordance with authorized price lists and specification sheets.
  • Will ensure that before homes are scheduled for production, that all confirmations are returned, checked and signed by the dealer.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise employees in the Sales Department. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with corporate policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
