We're looking for an authentic, collaborative, and accountable Social Media Marketing & Graphic Design Intern to experience working in the technology industry. This is an 8-month internship with the potential for an extension.

THE GOAL

We want to provide you with hands-on experience working in the technology industry as a Social Media Marketing & Graphic Design Intern while being mentored by talented industry professionals.

THE REQUIREMENTS

We totally get it. You're a student - we don't expect you to come in with a glossy resume detailing many years of experience. However, what we do require is for you to demonstrate aptitude in the following areas:

Social Media Marketing:

  • Coordinate social media campaigns and update content calendar
  • Coordinate content release with product launches, promotions, and other marketing campaigns
  • Research audience preferences and trends to develop engaging content ideas
  • Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in social media and graphic design

Content Creation and Design:

  • Design visually appealing graphics, including infographics, banners, and social media posts
  • Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and maintain consistency across platforms

Brand Management:

  • Ensure brand consistency in visuals and messaging across all social media channels
  • Uphold the brand's reputation and values through all communication channels

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with marketing and content teams to align social media strategies with overall marketing goals
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients regarding social media initiatives and design projects
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a design team

Graphic Design:

  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Knowledge of collaborative design software, specifically Canva and Figma
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of cloud-based content management systems, specifically
  • Familiarity with producing graphic assets for both online and print mediums

General Skills:

  • Ability to accurately translate client/stakeholder requirements into deliverable assets
  • Handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced iterative design environment
  • Strong eye for design with the ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles, composition, colour theory, accessibility, and inclusion

Successful candidates will be asked to showcase their graphic design portfolio during the interview phase.
