Job Title:

Sr. Project Manager (Permanent Full Time)

Location:

Saskatoon - On site. (Flexibility to possibly work remote. Some travel out to the sites required depending on the need.)

About the Company:

Our Client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with expertise in industrial construction to support our projects in Saskatchewan and Alberta. The Senior Project Manager will oversee construction and performance contracting projects, ensuring they adhere to contract specifications. This role involves coordinating a team of professionals and skilled labor, managing tasks and information flow, and ensuring smooth project operations from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and uphold the company's vision, mission, and values.
  • Ensure compliance with internal health, safety, environmental, quality assurance and controls, and human resource/labor relations programs.
  • Maintain project compliance with employment and payroll legislation.
  • Develop project management plans for industrial construction projects in the mining and oil and gas industries, participating in the Early Contractor Involvement Team to provide input on design, scheduling, cost-saving measures, and potential construction risks and mitigations.
  • Support the planning, initiation, and execution of work breakdown structures (WBS), work packages, cost accounts, and earned value methodology.
  • Prepare for and attend client meetings, as needed.
  • Compile and report on project progress on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensure adherence to company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Professionally communicate with all stakeholders and participate in executive-level meetings.
  • Manage and coordinate safety and quality efforts for the project, utilizing safety and QC resources effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience as a Project Manager in general construction and mining.
  • PMI/PMP designation is an asset.
  • Experience with Procore software is an asset.
  • Understanding of construction terms, scheduling, and planning concepts.
