The main object and purpose of this position is to support the business strategy, objectives, and values of the company by managing and implementing the Human Resources programs and policies for the activity in Canada in accordance with the Group's strategy.

The incumbent assures that all human resources strategy, programs and policies are implemented and managed by the Human Resources team, all while promoting quality and safety objectives.

Key areas of focus include organization design, talent management, operational excellence, performance management, employee and labor relations, Internal Communications. This position also leads vital organizational transformations and reports directly to the President of Air Liquide Home Healthcare Canada.

Develops human resources strategies: Identifies key HR issues affecting the company's competitiveness and performance.

Determines appropriate strategy to address short term and long term organizational capability issues (Organization, competency development, organizational development programs), and makes appropriate HR recommendations to obtain the greatest efficiencies possible and meet the targeted objectives.

Manage short and long term internal communication strategy aimed at enhancing employee engagement, manage the employer's reputation and effectively convey the company's missions and goals.

Ensure communication compliance with group standards in collaboration with the corporate global communications team.

Collaborate with the corporate human resources team in the development of related programs.

Introduces new programs and evaluates existing programs through intermediate managers: Presents and promotes key programs to Directors, Managers and employees as appropriate. Evaluates existing programs to assure they reflect Group's strategy and that they correspond to the Company's and the employees' needs

Act as confidential management resource to assist the President in key organization and executive management decisions.

Ensures skill development: In conjunction with local managers, determines the skills needed to support the business strategy, identifies recruitment requirements, develops a succession plan while helping to identify key positions and potential candidates, and develops and implements training programs to maintain or develop skills.

Meets employees to learn about their interests and projects in order to be able to orient their career decisions while ensuring continuity with the succession plan.

Provides structure, governance, and leading practice recommendations for transformation including, but not limited to, project management, risk management, change management, budget oversight, and management of concurrent transformation initiatives.

Development of Human Resources team member: Provides the necessary coaching and support for the HR team.

Assures the transfer of knowledge. Encourages the sharing of information, knowledge, and experience within the team.

Develops, analyses, and provides recommendations and documentation for special project assignments that relate to any aspect of human resources.

Process improvement: Works with his/her team as well as with cross-functional teams to continuously improve HR department's processes.

In close collaboration with the corporate human resources team, evaluates results, identifies non-conformities as well as the causes for dysfunctions, and implements action plans with appropriate solutions for improvement.

ARE YOU A MATCH?

Diploma: Master or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business

Administration or Industrial Relations

Training: Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation

Knowledge: business acumen, ability to supervise and train staff, employee development and performance management skills, management principles and practices, computer skills, oral and written communication skills, good presentation skills

10-12 years of experience in diverse range of Human Resources Management functions within a globally matrixed organization managing teams and leading key initiatives
