Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Our client, a growing CPG Manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join their growing team in Edmonton. The ideal candidate has a flair for the creative, and a passion for marketing. Reporting to the Director of Marketing this role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and social media expertise.

The Role:

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences to inform marketing strategies. Gather data from various sources, such as market research studies, data platforms and customer feedback, and analyze it to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Assist in creating marketing materials, such as blog posts, social media content, email newsletters, and sales presentations, and website maintenance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop compelling content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Responsible for managing leads generated through marketing activities, such as website inquiries, email sign-ups, or event registrations. Qualify leads, distribute them to the sales team, and track their progress through the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and nurturing.
  • Conduct keyword research and search engine optimization (SEO) analysis to understand what terms and phrases potential customers are using to search for products or services. Use this data to inform content creation, website optimization, and digital advertising strategies to improve visibility and attract qualified leads.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales and marketing activities, such as lead conversion rates, website traffic, and campaign ROI. Compile data into reports and dashboards, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing performance and achieving business objectives.
  • Coordinate and support the execution of trade shows, events, and in-house activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Post Secondary degree in Marketing, Business, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or product marketing roles, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A passion for social media and proficiency with all major platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing and sales industry, including digital tools and techniques.
  • Considerable experience with SEO/SEM campaigns
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, web analytics, and Google AdWords
  • Persistent and flexible approach to problem solving with a creative approach to sales and marketing.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of the CPG Industry, of marketing of retail/wholesale products is an asset.
