Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our vibrant team at Edmonton Unlimited. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing strategic marketing and communication plans to enhance our brand, engage our community, and support our mission.

Marketing Communication Specialist Key Accountabilities:

Communications Planning and Reporting:

  • Develop comprehensive communications plans and reports aligned with our entrepreneurial vision.
  • Execute annual planning with clear goals, timelines, deliverables, and robust measurement strategies.
  • Utilize tools like Microsoft Project for effective project management and reporting.

Event Support:

  • Provide basic event planning and event support to assist with logistics, registration platforms, attendee management, and onsite event delivery.

Content Planning:

  • Collaborate closely with our content specialist to drive impactful content strategies.
  • Contribute to research and creating compelling content across various platforms, maintaining high standards of writing, grammar, and editing.
  • Develop presentations, blogs, newsletters, social media content, and both long and short-form collateral for internal and external audiences.
  • Participate in the development of annual reports and community updates, reflecting our entrepreneurial achievements and community engagement.

Marketing Communications:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing communications strategies and reports that align with our entrepreneurial vision.
  • Create compelling content for various platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, and news releases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency of messaging across all communication channels.
  • Coordinate and execute campaigns that promote Edmonton Unlimited's initiatives and programs.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry partners, and community organizations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our marketing efforts.

Your Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing communications, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in marketing and communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM tools is considered an asset.
  • Innovator by nature.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
