Position Summary:

We are looking for a Team Leader, Talent Acquisition to lead our recruiting team while overseeing full-cycle recruiting. This role will continuously develop Talent Acquisition at 407 ETR and will support the execution of the TA Strategy and will drive consistent processes and best practices.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop strong partnerships with business leaders, develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires. Ultimately, you will contribute to creating a strong company brand that will attract the best employee for our company's current and future hiring needs.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Lead a team of Talent Acquisition professionals. Coach each team member and promote continuous learning and career development while creating a desired employee experience.
  • Incorporate 407ETR's DEI strategy in all internal and external TA activities/events.
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events; partner with channels that support DEI recruitment of underrepresented groups.
  • Drive change and talent acquisition best practices for both the TA Team and internal customers / hiring managers.
  • Participate in executing the TA strategy and related programs at 407ETR and review effectiveness and relevance of programs annually.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify short- and long-term staffing needs; provide advice on interviewing techniques.
  • Provide input on the design of job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position's requirements.
  • Determine selection criteria for candidates and source potential candidates through online channels. (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews.
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications Teams on employer branding initiatives and identifying and evolving the employee value proposition.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics.
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Partner with HRBPs on all recruiting activities for related business units; ensure a consistent TA approach across the organization.
  • Source, socialize and educate peers and hiring managers on talent acquisition best practices and ensure that there is a consistent pulse on the job market and evolving trends.
  • Support and contribute to all pre and onboarding plans.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment legislation (ESA, Human Rights Code, AODA, Labour Relations Act).
  • 5+ years of proven successful work experience as a Talent Acquisition Partner.
  • Experience successfully recruiting for technology positions is an asset.
  • 5+ years of proven success in placing executives and directors.
  • 2+ years of effective leadership experience; strong team management skills.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
  • Experience with social media, resume databases and professional networks. (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed)
  • Creatively source candidates from non-traditional channels.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking Systems. (ATSs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
