THE OPPORTUNITY

Genuwine Cellars is currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in Winnipeg, MB.

As the Sales Manager at Genuwine Cellars, you will be responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing team and contributing to the development of successful marketing strategies including but not limited to; digital marketing, SEO optimization, and lead generation. Additionally, the Sales Manager will analyze sales performance data to help create effective sales strategies to build on the company's world class reputation and increase brand awareness. The ideal candidate will combine their strategic-thinking skills and solution-driven mind with their excellent ?people skills? to be successful in this dynamic and exciting role!

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership and Business Development:

  • Lead the Sales and Marketing departments and staff, assigning tasks appropriately to the Digital Marketing Specialists and Client Advisor(s)
  • Coach and mentor team members to steer the departments in the right direction for success, encouraging innovation and a solution-driven mindset
  • Develop systems and processes that staff can follow to achieve success
  • Hire and onboard sales/marketing staff (in collaboration with HR) as needed
  • Work closely with senior management on strategy, helping to set clear, achievable objectives for growth
  • Provide direction and support to senior management to grow their knowledge/skills in regard to sales and business development

Strategic Planning and Data Analysis:

  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer behavior to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive online and offline sales, reach a larger audience, and increase brand visibility
  • Identify market opportunities for growth of existing products and future expansions
  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through various methods
  • Manage the Genuwine Cellars' online presence across all platforms including the website and social media channels
  • Oversee the activities of the Digital Marketing Specialists working on SEO optimization, content creation, and more
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of digital marketing and sales initiatives, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Define and set goals with senior management and the Sales/Marketing teams to motivate and achieve desired performance results
  • Develop expected sales forecasts
  • Consolidate data and report on findings in regular management meetings
  • Plan, organize, and attend sales trips to tradeshows and other industry events

Brand/Content Management and Sales:

  • Oversee and continuously improve SEO and Google Ads strategy
  • Assist in the creation of engaging visual content for digital platforms including blog posts, articles, videos, and social media updates
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, drive conversions, and foster customer loyalty
  • Ensure all images and pricing on company websites are up to date
  • Coordinate with third-party consultants on website improvements
  • Manage and train others on customer relations management (CRM) software, seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in the systems we use
  • Manage employee email signatures and make quarterly updates to images used
  • Collaborate with other teams in the company to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with business objectives
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging digital marketing techniques, and overall economic climate
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to leverage their expertise and enhance digital marketing efforts
  • Oversee the arrangement of photoshoots and editing

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • Must have a thorough understanding of marketing elements including digital marketing such as SEO/social media, and market research methods
  • Diploma or Degree in a marketing related discipline
  • -xtensive experience in marketing data analytics and tools is required
  • Demonstrated work experience as a Marketing or Sales Manager, and experience successfully leading a team
  • Experience in a sales-oriented environment (in a similar luxury industry is an asset)
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software and CRM (Adobe Creative Suite - proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Illustrator & Photoshop & Agile CRM) as well as applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
  • In-depth experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and online store management
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills; comfortable working closely with management and employees of all levels
  • Well organized and highly motivated self-starter who thrives on new challenges
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable and flexible to change, approaches problem-solving with creativity and efficiency

Working Conditions

  • In-office located in Winnipeg, MB
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
  • Willing to work overtime and/or flexible hours if required
  • Willing and able to travel if required
