Role

The Marketing Specialist / Proposal Writer is a motivated team player capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position will be responsible for crafting compelling and persuasive proposals to secure business opportunities, primarily through responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This role involves close collaboration with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure that each proposal is tailored to meet the client's needs and showcases our capabilities effectively.

Responsibilities

General Management:

  • Lead by example, following proper systems.
  • Provide insightful and enthusiastic leadership, paying attention to employee morale
  • Work with the heads of all functional areas to solve inter-departmental problems
  • Follow company procedures to both their letter and intent
  • Enforce and adhere to the codes of the company's Mission
  • Manage and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and in all other matters pertaining to HIDI

Marketing:

  • Aid in promoting brand initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives
  • Coordinate marketing communications to ensure a consistent message
  • Provide market research supporting any suggestions of new marketing and/or communications initiative
  • Manage employee project CVs and project sheets for submissions
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to develop white papers and case studies

Proposal Writing:

  • Prepare outlines from RFPs and draft content for compelling bid submissions
  • Manage the end-to-end proposal process, adhering to deadlines and brand standards
  • Support the Admin team to format proposal submissions
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to create impactful proposals to optimize the opportunity of retaining the business
  • Lead kick-off meetings to strategize action plans
  • Develop content that aligns with company objectives and showcases our strengths and differentiators
  • Conduct research to understand the client's needs, the competitive landscape, and industry trends
  • Manage proposal schedules and deadlines to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain a repository of proposal templates and past proposals for reference and reuse
  • Review and proofread all proposal documents for grammar, style, and compliance with client specifications
  • Gather feedback on submitted proposals to identify areas for improvement
  • Stay updated on industry best practices in proposal writing and incorporate these into our processes

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, preferably in the Consulting Industry
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), and other relevant software for document design and presentation is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Ability to think independently
