Reporting to the Marketing Department, the senior marketing communications adviser's main role is to support and advise the various sectors of activity of the YMCA of Quebec. He or she will ensure consistency and coherence in communications and ensure the preservation of the YMCA brand image.

THE CHALLENGE WE PROPOSE:

  • Contribute to acquisition and retention strategies;
  • Implement communication tools determined by their scope, communication axis, tone, editorial line, frequency of publication;
  • Define and manage a precise work schedule depending on the communication tools chosen (writing, publication, production, programming, social media marketing campaigns, etc.);
  • Facilitate weekly meetings and act as an adviser to teams in the various sectors of activity;
  • Conduct a competitive watch concerning trends and novelties in the field of language learning or other industries as requested;
  • Define and propose content that should be on the websites of the various projects, in collaboration with the digital team;
  • Ensure the writing of content for newsletters, the website and social media;
  • Manage newsletter mailings with the digital team;
  • Manage printed or web graphic productions, in collaboration with the marketing director;
  • Monitor results and carry out post-mortem of deployed initiatives;
  • Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures governing the protection of children and vulnerable individuals;
  • Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy within his or her position and within the Association, and participate in fundraising activities/events.

THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To carry out its mission successfully, the advisor should:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in marketing, administration or communication;
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience related to the job;
  • Have excellent knowledge of social media and its use within an organization;
  • Show creativity, curiosity, versatility, initiative and autonomy;
  • Demonstrate rigor and a concern for quality;
  • Have attention to detail, especially when it comes to external communications;
  • Have a strong sense of organization and priorities;
  • Demonstrate the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously;
  • Have a team spirit and an openness to different perspectives;
  • Be self-motivated, with resilience;
  • Have no legal impediment related to the job.
