You're a strong copywriter with a keen eye for detail and a knack for collaborating and coaching internal teams on how to support the company's online brand.

We're pleased to partner with our client, a sustainable aquatic start-up, in their search for a Social Media Manager. This individual will be responsible for creating and carrying out a dynamic social media strategy and creating content that builds brand awareness, fosters enthusiastic engagement, and drives sales.

About the workplace

This is an in-person role that requires working 5 days a week from the Richmond, BC office.

About the role

  • Develop and manage the company's social content across various platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.).
  • Craft compelling content (text, images and videos) using AI or native tools.
  • Foster a positive, engaged online community by initiating conversations, encouraging interactions, responding to comments and messages promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure social content aligns with overall marketing objectives and brand voice.
  • Stay current on the latest social media trends, platforms and best practices, adapting strategies according to maximize engagement.
  • Build an internal program to help team members understand how to support and enhance the company's brand.
  • Coach senior executives on how to refine and manage their social presence.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to measure success, refine strategies and optimize content.
  • Identify and build relationships with relevant social media influences in the relevant industries.

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $70,000, 2 weeks annual vacation.

About you

  • 5+ years' experience in social media, content development and community engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passionate about photography and eager to assist with photo and video shoots.
  • A strong, collaborative team player who's enthusiastic about taking on new projects and considering out-of-the-box ideas.
  • Proven ability to independently prioritize job tasks and media needs.
  • Solid working knowledge of Canva, HubSpot, Facebook Ads. Manager, Google Analytics.
  • Experience and technical background in the marine industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of AI tools is a plus.
