Kilne is a chef-tested cookware company founded in 2020 and is based in Toronto. Kilne products are worthy of professional chefs but designed for home cooks. All of our products are meant to empower home cooks, allowing them to create magic in their kitchen through thoughtfully designed cookware. We are a small and collaborative team looking to fill the position of Intermediate Designer

What You'll Do:

  • Develop original concepts for campaigns and product launches
  • Organize and manage projects from concept to completion
  • Pitch creative and impactful ideas
  • Work autonomously and take on a variety of digital design tasks
  • Ensure visual brand consistency across all projects
  • Report to and collaborate with the Creative Director
  • Support Creative/Marketing/PR with ideas and creating designs across a range of channels including: email campaigns, advertisements, website content, social media platforms, and so on
  • Advocate for design and design-thinking within the company

Who You Are:

  • Skilled at prioritizing competing deadlines and adapting to shifting timelines and objectives
  • Able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, and make a strong impact in decision making
  • Highly adaptable, detail oriented and results-driven in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Experience with photo and video editing
  • Experience with simple animation
  • Strong layout and typography skills
  • A collaborative individual who thrives independently and in a team environment
  • Web design and UX/UI experience
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of design principles as they apply to all mediums
  • Enthusiasm for the design process and attentiveness to different project goals
  • Approach challenges with a positive attitude and a customer-first perspective
  • Exceptional people and communication skills, you are kind under pressure
  • Experience working at an e-commerce brand is an asset

Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree, Diploma or Bachelors in Graphic Design
  • 3-5+ years graphic design experience in similar roles
  • Digital portfolio showing strong digital, print, branding and general design skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier etc)
  • Knowledge of Shopify, Asana, Klayvio, considered an asset
  • Knowledge of animation and video editing preferred
  • Agency experience is an asset
