YOUR JOB:

As the Senior Marketing Specialist (Canada), you will ensure the Brooks brand resonates with runners and fitness enthusiasts in Canada through the management of events, community runs and local social media channels. You will drive marketing programs that support the brand strategy and drive business through integrated concepts that are vibrant and relevant to target consumers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand & Community

  • Develop, plan, coordinate and execute consumer facing events including race expos, community runs and consumer marketing activations, along with projects designed to create brand affinity with Canadian runners, fitness enthusiasts and target consumers
  • Build relationships and create tailored activations with run crews, crew leaders, fitness studios, university community and similar activities to drive brand awareness for Brooks
  • Drive creative process with Creative Design team and external vendors to design event materials
  • Coordinate the delivery and fulfilment of all event elements and requirements

Social Media

  • Grow Brooks Canada social media audience by finding new ways to engage with the Canadian runner, localizing editorial, determining content, and schedule
  • Identify new fans, influencers, and advocates to increase reach and engagement
  • Engage with Brooks Running Collective, athletes, and existing influencers on social platforms and highlight content in owned channels. Work with Influencer Specialist on new opportunities for Brooks social channels
  • Manage social communities and ecosystem and ensure social media pages are culturally appropriate and engaging to Canadian runners
  • Maintain a consistent tone and voice that is aligned with the brand, channel expectations and target audience
  • Manage Brooks Future Run Program in Canada by recruiting middle, high school and university athletes and coaches, and finding opportunities to support them locally. Align with US Program deliveries and overall initiative
  • Discover trending topics, community needs and audience interest and flag internal team when needed
  • Plan, organize, and execute local content production, coordinating with talent, photographer and videographer
  • Edit photos, videos, and multimedia content to meet brand standards and optimize for various platforms College or University education in Business / Marketing is an asset
  • Work with Marketing Manager, Canada on development of seasonal and yearly marketing plans for Brooks in Canada and align with channels (retailers, Gurus etc.)

Analytical, Communication, and Brand Alignment

  • Provide updates on program progress and communicate results to Marketing Manager
  • Track and measure the impact of local tactics and reactions, and compile results into regular reports with actionable insights
  • Ensure that execution of marketing initiatives is on time and on budget.
  • Deliver strong ROI for our brand investments that are aligned with objectives
  • Collaborate with US Marketing Team to ensure brand and product campaign alignment
  • Manage and lead key relationships and initiatives with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • College or University education in Business / Marketing is an asset
  • 5+ years in the fitness industry (coaching or managing studios) and exposure to events, social media marketing strategy and execution
  • Demonstrates high proficiency in editorial writing, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Possesses the ability to effectively interact with customer-facing clients and present compellingly in group settings
  • Proficiency in English is required. French is an asset
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task a range of projects with exceptional attention to detail
  • High proficiency in MS Office software, and moderate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat software. Ability to learn new computer systems quickly
  • Strong problem-solving abilities including identifying potential issues and develop action plans/solutions
  • Analytical skills including the ability to run reports, analyze information, identify trends, and recommend solutions
  • Ability to take initiative and thrive in fast-paced and multi-functional environment
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours including weekends
  • A valid driver's license and driving competency are required for this role

Compensation: The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks' Burnaby, Canada location, is $57,837 - $86,755 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
