Job Description:

The full-time position of Ticketing and Group Sales Specialist will oversee all aspects of general admissions ticketing, premium ticket sales, group ticketing sales whilst ensuring a seamless experience for our community of fans, sponsors and supporting ecosystem members. This role involves managing ticket inventory, implementing sales strategies, and working directly with our fans, group sales customers and premium ticket attendees providing the best in class service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the ticketing department, including sales, distribution, and customer service.
  • As a frontline representative of the Halifax Tides FC, embody the values and behaviours as expected when dealing with fans and partners
  • Implement effective ticket sales strategies to maximize game attendance and associated revenue.
  • Coordinate with the business operations, marketing and communications teams to promote ticket sales and support in special events execution.
  • Oversee and manage the ticketing system and ensure accurate and timely updates. Troubleshoot challenges and ensure minimal downtime of the system.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Understand sales data, generate insights and learnings and provide regular reports on ticket sales performance.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth matchday operations.
  • Maintain and update customer databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Enable best practices when undertaking customer relationship management activities- needs gathering, communication and conflict resolution
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in ticketing and customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Powerpoint or equivalent) and other relevant software applications including but not limited to survey tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Passion for soccer and a commitment to providing the best possible experience for our fans
  • Agile learner who is eager to learn and use ticketing software and CRM systems. Experience with ticketing and CRM software is an asset.
  • Experience in ticketing operations, preferably within a sports environment, considered an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.
