Position Summary

The Recruitment & Marketing Coordinator will be instrumental in driving awareness and engagement for the College of Technology Alberta among prospective students. This role involves crafting, implementing, and analyzing marketing strategies to promote CTA's programs, culture, and values. The ideal candidate is creative, data-oriented, and passionate about education.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement marketing plans targeting prospective students.
  • Leverage digital channels such as social media, email, and SEO.
  • Plan and execute advertising campaigns across platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads).

2. Content Creation and Management:

  • Create compelling content for CTA's website, blog, and social media.
  • Collaborate with designers, videographers, and other content creators.
  • Ensure consistency with the college's branding and messaging.

3. Market Research & Analytics:

  • Conduct research to track market trends, competitors, and student preferences.
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance and optimize strategies accordingly.
  • Provide reports on campaign metrics and outcomes.

4. Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Organize and promote on-campus and virtual events, such as open houses and webinars.
  • Partner with the admissions team to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Handle logistics like promotion, registration, and post-event follow-ups.

5. Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with the admissions team to align marketing with enrollment goals.
  • Highlight key programs and successes by working with academic departments.
  • Build partnerships with local high schools, community groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Meet with students and school counsellors in order to provide information about studying at the College of Technology Alberta.
  • Works with selected agents that recruit students on behalf of CTA in selected markets, providing training remotely and/or on-site, assisting with application process for students recruited by these agents, etc.

6. Budget Management:

  • Support the development and oversight of the marketing budget.
  • Ensure marketing efforts are cost-effective and align with budget constraints.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in higher education or admissions.
  • Strong proficiency in digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, SEO, social media platforms).
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with CRM software is a bonus.

Work Environment

  • This role involves working in a standard office setting, with occasional travel for meetings and events.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends for special events is required.
