JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a talented and versatile Writer, Publicist & Social Media Manager to work across both of our brands, LC&CO and Creativiva. This position requires an individual who is equally adept at creating compelling written content, building public relations strategies, and managing social media platforms. The role is remote, but you must be based in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for weekly in-person meetings with our founder or team for interviews, brainstorming, and strategy alignment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Writing:

  • Craft high-quality articles, blogs, interviews, and thought leadership pieces that reflect the unique vision of LC&CO and Creativiva.
  • Write engaging content for marketing materials, project presentations, website updates, and other communications that highlight the work and innovations of both brands.
  • Develop press releases and other PR materials that clearly convey brand messages to the media and potential partners.

Public Relations:

  • Build and maintain relationships with editors, journalists, and influencers across various industries, including design, retail, hospitality, and entertainment.
  • Actively pitch content, innovations, ideas, and updates from both LC&CO and Creativiva to secure media coverage and increase brand visibility.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for positioning our brands as thought leaders in their respective fields.

Social Media Management:

  • Manage, develop and curate LinkedIn and Instagram content for LC&CO and Creativiva, ensuring each platform is regularly updated with fresh, engaging, and aligned content.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth for both brands.
  • Monitor social media trends and performance, using analytics to optimize content and posting strategies for better results.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the founder, as well as creative, strategic, and business development teams of both LC&CO and Creativiva to ensure all content aligns with the strategic goals of each brand.
  • Attend weekly in-person meetings to develop interviews, brainstorm new ideas, review performance, and adjust strategies as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in writing, public relations, and social media management, ideally in creative, entertainment, or design-related industries.
  • Strong portfolio of published articles, social media campaigns, or PR successes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram) and content creation tools.
  • Must be based in
Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and available for weekly in-person meetings.
