Tim Hortons Foundation Camps help youth from underserved communities achieve their full potential through multi-year, overnight camp experiences. Whether at camp or back home in their communities between visits-our youth work to build social, emotional, leadership and innovation skills and behaviours like volunteerism and motivation to learn so they become civically and academically engaged, and successfully transition to adulthood.

Work Location:

This role is ideally based out of the Foundation's Home Office in St. George, Ontario working a minimum of three days/week in-office. Remote working alternatives will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The selected candidate will be required to travel frequently to the Tim Hortons ® Head Office located in Toronto, ON.

What would you be doing?

  • Develop and implement communications strategies and initiatives to highlight the organization's value to the Tim Hortons Brand and Restaurant Owner Community
  • Provide communications leadership for our largest and most-critical annual fundraiser - Camp Day - developing plans and materials for all communications channels including PR, social, digital and marketing
  • Actively work with key corporate stakeholders at Tim Hortons in communications, marketing, regional marketing, field operations, digital and design to ensure the cohesive delivery of Tims Camps strategies, Camp Day messaging, and other year-round fundraising and awareness opportunities
  • Develop and implement brand awareness strategy for Tims Camps including building, growing and maintaining online supporter base and traffic
  • Develop and ensure the delivery of high quality, on brand communications to the general public and Tim Hortons guests
  • Lead communications of integrated Tim Hortons restaurant owner engagement strategy - our largest and most critical donor group
  • Supervise and develop junior members of Communications team in developing and delivering compelling content and ensuring a high standard of internal and external communications assets

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years' experience in communications, journalism, media or related field
  • Superior written and oral communication skills with strong time management, project management and organizational skills across multiple priorities and projects
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to influence, identify and articulate common objectives
  • Experience leading communications channels and representing an established Brand
  • Proven ability to leverage data, business intelligence and available resources to bring credibility to proposed business solutions
  • Ability to identify and align stakeholder needs and influence creative, innovative solutions
  • Knowledge of the youth development and/or camping fields considered an asset
  • Bilingual (French/English - oral and written) considered an asset
