The Team

Our Corporate Planning & Priorities (CPP) work unit is a multidisciplinary team focused on corporate planning, change management, communications, training, and business operations. We are passionate about supporting the Ministry's critical services delivery for children, youth, and families across BC. The new Communications and Change team within the CPP will collaborate with experts from various fields, working closely with analysts, program leads, and resource workers to provide comprehensive support for implementation of priority operational projects.

The Role

As the Communications & Content Coordinator, you will lead the development of communication strategies and content to support the Division's operational projects. You will work closely with program leaders to guide projects from concept to completion, ensuring that communications are inclusive and impactful for children, youth, and families in BC. Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

? Diploma in communications, public relations, public administration, business administration, journalism, or a related field, and a minimum of two (2) years' *related experience.

? An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience may be considered.

*Related experience must include all of the following:

? Professional writing experience (e.g., engagement and communication plans, new releases, backgrounders; publications content; speech writing; notes and strategies for legislative introductions; web content, etc.).

? Experience with multi-party engagement and consultations (internal or external).

? Experience developing and writing diverse communications strategies, plans and reporting materials for multiple audiences (e.g., Executives, Managers, Staff, partnership agencies, local government, etc.).

? Experience managing projects and/or project components.

? Experience using website preparation, graphic design software, or content management system(s) such as CMS Lite, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop or Illustrator.

Preference may be given to applicants with (1) or more of the following:

? Three (3) or more years' *related experience.

? Bachelor's Degree or higher in communications, public relations, public administration, business administration, journalism, or a related field.

? Experience supporting corporate communications planning and content development for business operations in a large multidisciplinary client focused organization.

? Experience with design and content development, including accessibility best practices and plain language writing.

About this Position:

Currently there is one (1) permanent opportunity available.

This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
