Our mission is to increase the success rate of small businesses. Traditional banking has been a growth limiter rather than a growth enabler for business owners, and we're changing that. Relay is the all-in-one, collaborative money management platform. We're building for employer SMBs and their finance function, internal and external, and are focused on delivering a human-centric customer experience. Ultimately, we help SMBs be ?on the money'.
Relay is building banking that creates total cash flow clarity and control for small businesses. We're looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help us scale our thought leadership function and forge meaningful, lasting connections with our customers.
Collectively, these businesses employ over half of the US workforce. But despite their impact on all of us, they regularly struggle with cash flow (68% will experience a cash flow crisis in their lifetime) and continue to be drastically underserved by traditional banking.
Relay is changing that. We're doing it through a banking platform that gives them cash flow control, partnerships with small business advisors and communities like Profit First, and content that shows small businesses a better way to get on the money.
That's where you come in.
Content has been an integral part of our growth at Relay, and will play a major role as we grow our thought leadership function. The Content Marketing Manager will join a team of quality-obsessed marketers and creatives.
We're looking for someone who knows how to develop original, compelling thought leadership content, can comfortably manage a project pipeline, and is excited to create cash flow and business finance content that goes beyond the cookie-cutter.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Create high-quality, engaging content, including articles, whitepapers, case studies, eBooks, webinars, newsletters, social media posts, and others
- Talk to customers and do in-depth research to develop insights into what draws and holds the attention of business owners across different industry segments
- Work with the leadership team and internal subject matter experts to develop and execute a content strategy that grows our executive profiles on social channels (i.e., LinkedIn, Twitter)
- Own and continuously improve our project management process to ensure timely content production, visibility for stakeholders, and priority alignment with growth goals
- Build and manage our editorial calendar and work to maximize Relay's content distribution
- Collaborate with internal and external designers to elevate all of Relay's content campaigns
- Help onboard, manage, direct, and inspire external writers and contractors to deliver best-in-class content for our audience
- Measure, optimize, and report on content performance
- Work closely with growth, sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure content aligns with business goals and customer needs
- Flex your writing and editorial muscles to ensure that everything Relay's internal teams and external influencers produce is on-brand, on-point, and delightful to our audience
WHO YOU ARE:

- You're a strong project manager with a proven ability to prioritize tasks that maximize your impact while working independently
- You have experience interviewing subject matter experts and leveraging their input and perspective to develop authentic, informed content
- You are genuinely excited about creating inspiring, helpful content for small businesses and their owners/operators, and care deeply about their success

- Committed to driving meaningful marketing impact through content; you understand how content fits in the marketing funnel, and continually deepen your skill set
- Process-driven. You can push projects forward internally and when working with partners
- Data-driven. You can use data/analytics to measure the impact of your work and then use it to iterate based on its impact on our funnel
